Our Vision is Clear

We see an organized MSME sector with outcomes that impact the Nigerian economy positively.

And we are on a Mission To

Promote functional and sustainable youth enterprises to create jobs and generate wealth.

The Problem

Over 99% of the 45 million enterprises operating in Nigeria are micro in nature. Evidence shows that these microenterprises contribute over 65% to the GDP of the economy. They also account for 70% of the employed workforce in the country. No doubt, they are the engine room of the economy.

However, SMEs operate largely in the informal sector. As a result, they are unorganized. MSMEs in Nigeria lack access to enablers of business growth and development. They lack access to finance, endure gross infrastructure deficit, and experience weak systemic support. Clearly, these enterprises cannot compete in any market on the globe.

Enter NYCC

This is exactly why the Nigerian Youth Chamber of Commerce (NYCC) was launched in 2010. The organization limited by guarantee was registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission in 2014. The Chamber is a Business Membership organization for aspiring, startup and existing MSMEs in Nigeria. NYCC serves as the organized private sector platform for enterprises that operate in the informal sector. The Chamber leverages this social capital to organize self-help and create innovative solutions that drive sustainable business development.
